# Step-by-Step:

01 - Set oven to 400°F and allow to fully preheat.
02 - In a large ovenproof baking dish, combine cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, sliced garlic, and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Season generously with salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss well to coat.
03 - Nestle block of feta cheese in the center of the vegetables. Drizzle remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil over the cheese and season lightly with black pepper.
04 - Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes until tomatoes are softened and bursting, and feta is golden and tender.
05 - While vegetables bake, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil and sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes until deeply caramelised and golden brown. Set aside.
06 - In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta according to package instructions until just al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain pasta.
07 - Add caramelised onions and chopped basil to the baked feta and tomato mixture. Stir thoroughly, breaking up feta to create a creamy sauce with the vegetables.
08 - Transfer cooked pasta to the baking dish and toss gently to evenly coat in feta sauce. Add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, to achieve preferred sauce consistency.
